BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, ROUTE 53 OVER ROUTE 3

Phased reconstruction of 2 span, 240’ long bridge carrying Route 53 over Route 3 in Hanover, MA. Work included cast in place sub-structure, phased earth support, heavy lift operations which included erection of 752,000 lbs of structural steel (performed by Aetna Bridge crews), approach work, drainage and utility work, paving, bridge demolition, and cast in place concrete deck. Project included significant traffic control along Route 3 (divided highway).
